2010 has proven to be a great year for us. With the amazingly successful opening of Time Line at Young Blood Gallery, lots of love from Creative Loafing and John Paul and I featured in the January Best Of... Issue of the Atlantan; we are truly feeling the Atlanta love. Thanks for all those who have come out to see Time Line, it will be on view until January 31st. Here are a few links to some recent press:

Great news! We have planned an official after party! Thanks to our great friend DeeJays Gnosis and Dookie Platters who have graciously helped plan this event at the Highland Inn Ballroom. Young Blood Gallery-goers will get free entry to the after party at Highland Ballroom Inn. How, might you ask, well, you'll receive a secret special pass at the opening of Time Line, Saturday January 2nd from 7-10pm.
While making these pieces we are physically handling the past. Once we open the box of family negatives, we dive right into a world that seems familiar but is actually foreign. Each time we hold the fragile negative to the light, we are transformed by what it presents... a way into the past. These negative present a point in time. We like to assume we can tell so mush by the position of ones hand or the direction the eye looks, but honestly, we can't. It's this constant struggle to understand and be understood that propels us to keep looking into the light and recreating what it presents us.
For the next several days we will be posting images of our works that will be on exhibition at Young Blood Gallery from January 2nd until January 31st. If you have further interest in the works please email us at click_clique@yahoo.com Happy Holidays.
When you begin, you are still and pensive, thoughtfully mapping out the details and expectations. Your bags are filled, heavy on your shoulders, feet pounding the earth and you move forward. At some point you fall into it, you become one with it, letting go of your map. The details are all those things you cannot imagine not all those things you predetermine.
Today, I drove to a little old town I remember from my childhood. As I weaved through the tree lined roads I was repeatedly pulled back to the past by my memory of certain houses or objects in the landscape. Though much had drastically changed the scenery, it was so much of the same. I imagined as I was shooting the old mill that this place kept an imprint of all the glances and stares it has ever received from those passing by. There is something forgotten yet deep to this place, but perhaps it is only me that feels it.
